Whenever we reach another level in God, there’s always another devil. Right when we step up to another spiritual level in God, the devil starts his attacks. Jesus was attacked after he came off His fast. Matthew 4:2-4 King James Version (KJV) “And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Always remember, Satan comes to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). However, if we consistently pray and take Him at His Word; we will always have the victory. “Men ought to always pray and not faint (Luke 18:1 KJV)”. “Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22).” “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37 KJV).” When Satan starts his attacks, never give-in to his tricks. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7)”. Whatever lie the devil is telling you, never believe it. John 8:44 New International Version (NIV) “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Replace those thoughts with the Word of God. Replacing fault-finding with humility and love. Replacing uncertainty and fret with trust and peace. Philippians 4:8 (KJV) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Faith is a shield, ancient soldier’s most essential tools were shields. It was used to protect them from their enemies attacks. In Ephesians 6:16 New Living Translation (NLT), it states, “In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.” In a spiritual sense, faith will shield us in every attack, as we raise it up against the devil; by “consistently” proclaiming our confidence in God. Scriptures to Read: Matthew 2:2-4, John 8:44; 10:10, Ephesians 6:16, Philippians 4:8, James 4:7 Say this prayer with me: “Father, when the devil starts attacking me, remind me to focus on scriptures replacing them with the evil thoughts he is suggesting. Help me lift up my shield of faith at all times. Thank you for your victory. Amen”. Be Encouraged!!!
